  2. Benefits of community-service While doing my community service I benefited by building a closer bond with my teammates. I also benefited by helping out the community.

  3. Definition • Service-Learning….. • “ A teaching and learning strategy that integrates meaningful community service with instructions and reflections to enrich the learning experience, teach civic responsibility, and strengthen communities.”

  4. Benefits • Enriches student learning of course material and "brings books to life and life to books". • Engages students in active learning that demonstrates the relevance and importance of academic work for their life experience and career choices.
