  2. What is the Texas Star Chart? The Texas Teacher STaR Chart is designed to help teachers, campuses, and districts determine their progress toward meeting the goals of the Long-Range Plan for Technology, as well as meeting the goals of their district.

  3. What is the importance of the Texas Star Chart? • Determines professional development needs. • Provides data to the District & State . • Determines funding priorities based on needs. • Helps create a goal for Campus & District initiatives. • Assist campuses in documenting the use of No Child Left Behind, Title II,Part D formula, and discretionary funds. • Statewide summary data is reported to state and federal policymakers.

The Texas Teacher STaR Chart has been developed around the four key areas of the Long-Range Plan for Technology, 2006-2020: Teaching and Learning (TL) Educator Preparation and Development (EP) Leadership Administration & Instructional Support (L) Infrastructure for Technology.
