Final Project Law 737 Spring 2002
Final Project • Step 1: • Locate on the Internet (www.eps.gov) through the Electronic Posting System (EPS) the group’s chosen solicitation. If you are familiar with the system feel free to pick your own. A few solicitations are: • TFTP-MC-000874-1 • 7FXP-D4-01-0539-B.FSG49 • FCGS-W6-98-0310-N • FCXA-S7-990001-N
Final Project • Step 2: • Download and print the synopsis, solicitation, all amendments and modifications to the posting. • Create a skeleton proposal for your project, including a description of what goes into each proposal section needed, as it applies to your project. • List at least twenty (20) FARs that should be in your proposal and resultant contract.
Final Project • Step 3: • Be creative! Establish a costing/pricing estimate for the contract. • Be sure to complete all sections of the contract, including the Certifications and Representations.
Final Project • Step 4: Turn that proposal into a contract, complete with signatures, $$, etc. Use the same skeleton format that you used in the proposal.
Final Project • Step 5: • Assuming you were awarded a contract based on your proposal, introduce a change to the contract’s product offering or price. Show all necessary correspondence to the CO to allow this change. Then explain in a memo what you are are anticipating will happen to the contract and all of the considerations.
Final Project • Step 6: • Your contract has been terminated for default. List all of the steps to stop activity on your contract and prepare it for closeout. Write a memo to apply these steps to your contract.
Final Project • Step 7: • You’ve been spared. We’re changing your termination for one of convenience. Prepare a memo guiding your team through a successful shutdown of the contract. Where dollars are needed, you have liberty to be creative or merely what would happen to the dollars, if they were able to be quantified. What does this mean to your project?
