Administered to 220 randomly selected lecture & lab courses, including courses from all campuses and all levels • A total of 3,053 surveys were completed • The gender and race/ethnicity of the respondents was representative of the spring 2003 enrollment • Students attending the Boca campus were slightly under-represented in the sample. Juniors and graduate students were over-represented.
MOST likely to be enthusiastic about their FAU experience : • Graduate students • College of Education students • Students who previously attended another college or university • LESS likely to be enthusiastic about their FAU experience: • Honors College students • College of Arts & Letters students • First-time in college students

Common reasons for wanting to transfer: • To attend the school of first choice • To get a degree from a more recognized school • For a program not available at FAU • To have more choices and better course availability • For a better campus environment and college experience
