Requesting Patient Transport • Double Click icon to open patient transport Teletracking Application and log on with your VUNet ID & password • Step1. Click Patients tab • Step2. Search for patient • ie Type patient’s last name or room # • Step3. Click search • Step4. Click on the blue patient name box to select your patient. • After the initial request is placed, the view transport screen will display list of transports and status for that patient • An “add patient request” button will appear – click to open up the request patient transport screen. • Step5 Specify Origin & Destination – • Click on magnifying glass icon to search for origin or destination or select from recent or favorites • If searching Type location name • Click to check all locations -This prevents you from having to scroll down the list. • Click to Search & click to select unit/ bed • Step6. Specify mode of travel & isolation via dropdown lists • Step 7. Specify status - Pend for transport now or Appointment to specify date/ time • Step 8. Specify travel requirements – click to select items in available list and click right arrow to place in selected box. • Step9. Click Save- review request & click close. Step1. Step3. Step2. Step4 Step5 Step6 Step8 Step7 FYI…..The O/R, ED, GI Lab, Radiation Oncology, Cath Lab (M-Funtil5pm) will continue to have their own transport staff, DO NOT enter requests in Teletracking . Cath Lab after 5pm Mon. – Frid., you will have to enter requests in Teletracking Continue to do Medipac transfers and discharges – there is not a connection between Teletracking and Medipac. Step9
To Request a Room to be Cleaned • Step1. Dial 2-4333 • Step 2 Enter ID code • MR 555555 • RN 777777 • CP 888888 • Step 3. Enter Room number ( there will be a total of 6 digits) • Room number + 01 if private or semiprivate bed A (10 floor & up +1) • Room number + 02 if semiprivate B bed (10 floor & up +2) • If pt is on a double-digit floor ( 10 or 11) the leading 0 will not be used. For instance, a room on the 5th floor would be 500701 but a room on the 10th floor would be 100071. All bed IDs are 6 digits total. • Step 4. Enter Status • Press 3 for “dirty” • Press 8 for “Isolation room that is dirty” • The person who actually takes the patient out of the room at the discharge should request the bed to be cleaned. If the transporter discharges the patient, they will perform this function. If the RN or CP discharges the patient, they will perform this function. • To Check Status of Cleaning • Step1. Dial 2-4333 • Step 2 Enter ID code • Step 3 . Press #2 to inquire about the status of a specific bed • Press #3 to inquire about the status for the entire unit • Step 4. Enter Room number Effective September 23 at 6 am VUH ONLY will call 24333 instead of 31000 for a room clean Requestor Guide Effective September 23 at 6 am Instead of using HEO/ WIZ to request patient transport, a new application (Teletracking) will be used to enter request s for patient transport .
