  1. WELCOME TO THE HEALTHCARE UPDATE FOR MARCH 2006

  2. A Touching Story Wang Si Yuan, a 16 month old girl , was born with a transverse facial cleft . Unfortunately, her parents and other relatives all wanted to abandon this little girl. However, her grandmother believed that Father will take care of her and treat her in time. Even before this Spring Festival , Wang Si Yuan’s father asked his mother when Father would heal his daughter. The grandmother answered her son faithfully “According to His time!”

  3. A Touching Story Yes, His time has come, the special operation was performed on March 2, 2006 by volunteer staffs of HSC. How wonderful the outcome is! Wang Si Yuan’s face looks better , her weak father became faithful and Her mother decided to lean on Father. Our Father is really faithful and powerful !

  4. The foreign volunteers and Chinese staff of the Health Services Centre work together to help all patients from different tribes, languages and nations.

  5. From 23rd February to 31st March , 2006, the HSC volunteer Dr. Chris Sansom had been diagnosing and treating staff and children at Hephzibah.

  6. Bob Chamberlain, who will stay with us for about 2 months, came to HSC in March to help our trainers with their teaching .

  7. Ms. Mary Meyer, our lab technologist, is leaving Xi’an for USA by the end of March because of her right leg problem. We all look forward to seeing her again in a few months time.

  8. Love is kind • Mr. Ding’s wife (left, middle) had been suffering from stones in the gall bladder for a long time because they hadn’t got enough money for an operation in other hospital. Dr. Sansom heard of her plight and supporters in Ireland covered the fees. • There was a wider benefit when other patients heard the good news and joined the celebration.

  9. HSC is becoming more and more famous in Xi’an and many patients of different ages come to our doctors for the appropriate treatments.

  10. Here, Dr. Xu is removing a small cyst ( March 28th). Following a probationary period he has decided to join HSC as a permanent member of staff.

  11. In order to equip and promote our local staff ,the oversea volunteer Dr. Sansom spent her specious time to share her skills and experiences with them.

  12. Current needs are: We need a permanent International Communications Officer to liaise with overseas teams, visitors, and others doing Healthcare work. Healthcare thanks you for your ongoing support • HSC needs an overseas full-time doctor or equivalent cover from part-time doctors, ( family practice physicians orpediatricians).

  13. Healthcare thanks you for your ongoing support Current needs: • Funding has been arranged for the purchase of laboratory equipment. We have a local source for a clinical chemistry instrument, but still need one for a hematology instrument. • More financial support so that we can help more patients just like Mr. Ding’s wife and the little girl Wang Si Yuan etc.
