Strengthening Advising Initial report from the Social Science Research Center Caveats Systematic review of advising both at the College and departmental levels
Workload Equity 2010-2011: Chairs given SCH targets with authority over: - Teaching loads - Class sizes and delivery methods - Keeping low-enrolled courses open or canceling them
Workload Equity This year, chairs and departments will be asked to come together to establish workload equity. What is workload equity? Is equity established when everyone has the same course load? How is workload equity measured?
Workload Equity Will this be the start of a two-tiered system? ABSOLUTELY NOT! Since everyone’s workload adds up to 100%, EVERYONE will be respected andrewarded for their equivalent contributions.
Creating Space for Research Time: especially for junior faculty, based on the workload equity principle Space: College will look to create additional and improved lab space, especially for the sciences Clearview project
Graduate Programs New M.A. program in History Possible D.P.A. program in Political Science/Public Administration Other possibilities
