Define New Federalism on page 786. 2. What effect might New Federalism have on who controls government programs? Motivation: What is a political conservative? How would you define a political conservative?

The Ford and Carter Years Ford becomes President when Nixon resigned Ford pardoned Nixon on Sept 8, 1974 Ford attempts to WHIP inflation now Carter wins in 1976 focuses on the energy crisis Iranian hostage crisis and revolution Bakke decision in 1978 ended racial quotas Carter focused on Human rights in foreign policy gave the Panama Canal to Panama Camp David Accords-Israel and Egypt
