  2. 1 NEED: evidence based information on vaccine uptake in different risk groups ACTION: Surveys to be performed by patient organizations based on input by KTL

  3. 2 NEED: convince regional and local authorities of the importance of influenza vaccination and the importance of enhanced flexibility of the immunization process ACTION: • Position paper drafted by KTL and adapted and endorsed by stakeholder network

  4. 2 • Provide uniform tools (good practices, tailor made articles, ideas to reach risk groups...) for stakeholders to address regional and local authorities about the importance of flu vaccination.

  5. 3 NEED: convince individual members of risk groups that flu vaccination is of utmost importance ACTION: • tailor-made communication tools to be developed by the patient and elderly organizations in close collaboration with KTL • Organisational collaboration between stakeholder organisations in order to get risk groups vaccinated (f.i. care homes)

  6. 4 NEED: convince health care professionals (and their organizations) of vaccinating their patients and themselves ACTION: • recommendations and guidelines by expert groups and patient organizations in close joint collaboration

  7. 4 • development of educational material by KTL and the stakeholders, distributed through the channels of the stakeholders • KTL to address the Institute of Occupational Health Care in order to create general support for the reimbursement of hcw vaccination

  8. 5 NEED: long term strategy and permanent actions ACTION: • commitment of stakeholders present to implement the actions • commitment of stakeholders present to participate in future network meetings • commitment of KTL to involve more stakeholders
