About him… • Joseph Labisi is a Los Angeles and New York based Cinematographer and Photographer, who has shot over 200 music videos for artists ranging from the Rolling Stones to 50Cent to Talor Swift, has shot over 60 Commercial campaigns from clients ranging from Ford to Nesquick to Adidas, and has recently lensed the current opening sequence of Saturday Night Live.

Why I Chose him… • I chose Joseph Labisi as he is a cinematographer of music videos and for TV shows which is the industry of media that I hope to build a career in in the future. • The music artists Joseph has worked for are very well known and popular as well as the brands and TV show commercials he has been a part of. This shows he is a very credible and popular cinematographer in America in the music industry. • I like the techniques he uses through which all in all match in with the pace and theme of the music/show very well. Jason Derulo – “Talk Dirty” • A recent music video he has worked on is Jason Derulo’s – “Talk Dirty.” I really like the lighting techniques and colours used in this video with the high contrast and silhouettes of people dancing in the frame. The bright colours reflect the energy of the mainstream song and would appeal to such an audience.
