  5. 5 What is POSTING ?? • Posting = Sending information van a POS (Point Of sales Terminal) to the PMS central server • “posting” is one way communication • Except Nomadix has created togheter with Micros Fidelio a two way communication interface .

Time Customer will be connected untill the time expires Customer connects to Portal Page Customer selects one of the PMS billingoptions The customer will only be charged If he is using the logout-Buttom of the ICC/Logout console of the Nomadix system. The charging for the connected time !

  16. 5 In Room Port Mapping • In order to do In Room Port Mapping, please follow these steps: • Enable AAA • Enable In Room Port Mapping • Add the subscriber machine as a Permanent Subscriber • From the room, launch a browser and go to the following url: • http://usgaddress:1111/usg/roommapping

  17. 5 In room Port mapping • The In-Room Port Mapping feature is used most effectively when setting up the system for the first time (for use with the 802.1Q VLAN protocol). With the IRPM you can go to the room, plug into the port and from there log into a secure address on the USG™, see the port number that identifies that room and then you can add the port to the USG’s port mapping table. This is a quick and easy way to identify the ports and takes out any guesswork on the administrator. Page 13

  21. 5 In Room Port Mapping The information enter for the room number becomes the Location information in the Port Mapping List. This is the identifier that is sent to the PMS so it must match what the PMS has to identify the room. For example, if the PMS identifies room 1 as 001, then 001 should be entered as the room number. You will also need to select the access mode for the room. Click Submit to save your changes.

  22. 5 In Room Port Mapping Enter a location identifier in the Location field. Locations can be assigned as an alpha, numeric, or alpha-numeric value unless a PMS interface is used (see notes). In the Port field, enter the port (the VLAN ID when using 802.1Q 2-way).

  24. Tax Rate Functionality Tax Rate Configuration and effect • If the Tax Rate is configured for anything other than 0 it applies to all Internal billing. Including Credit Card and PMS. • The Micros Fidelio and MICROS POS systems have separate fields for the Tax Rate. • The Tax amount and total billed is shown in a new purchase page. • XML and EWS billing is not effected by the Tax Rate.

  27. 2-way WFB Functionality • WFB 2-way builds on the 1-way functionality with small additions • Adds a new verification page • Needs verification from PMS server to grant access to Subscriber • Billing Plan Configuration for WFB billing • - Still have differences for WFB plan and non-WFB plan in the POST • Flow of Traffic • Conf sent to PMS • Ver sent to NSE • Post sent to PMS • Ver sent to NSE • ERR sent from PMS if any problems, could be sent on Conf or Post • New Labels (not WMI configurable) • - aaa_label_microsWFBsuffix = ConfNumber • aaa_label_microsWFBexpiry = Expiration • Both of these are 4 Characters each

WFB 2-way Troubleshooting • Serial port needs to be set as 7 Data bits, 2 stop bits, odd Parity. • When WFB server first boots and connects to NSE it will do a Data Dump that might take some time. Need to check the PMS server to verify that the Data Dump has completed. • Verify how the expiration date is entered into the PMS server and match the format in the verification page. • Check the WFB PMS Logs for all the communication back and forth to verify that the correct messages are traveling between the two systems. • Check the billing plan being used to be sure what form the POST should be.
