Board ActivitiesOctober – December 2010 • Reviewed and Approved Community Partner Contracts: Bartow Marketing Partnership - East Bartow Positive Action Committee - LB Brown House & Museum –– Main Street Bartow Inc – West Bartow Front Porch Council • Reviewed One Redevelopment Request. • Discussed the Redevelopment Program Incentive Program for 2011. • Discussed general direction of CRA for 2011 – awaiting Final Strategic Plan Outcomes

  5. Redevelopment Activities • Redevelopment Incentive Inquiries: 18 Downtown Shops: 3 Restaurants: 4 Services: 8 Façade Improvements: 3 • Redevelopment Incentive Applications: 9 Facade: 2 Services: 4 Restaurants: 3

  6. Redevelopment Activities Main Street Incubator (CRA Supported) Inquires for Retail Shops: 8 CRA Referred Incentive Requests: 5 Retail Operations Open January 3: 2 Board Approved to Open in February: 2

  7. Committees and Programs • Bank Consortium Meets Every Month Except November and December. In 2011 the Committee will support an active Redevelopment Project In 2011 the Committee will support redevelopment housing projects Meetings with local Bank personnel about local Redevelopment Projects:3 Committee Met In January -- Agreed On Program for 2011

  8. Committee and Programs • Redevelopment Incentive Review Committee Committee will restart in January. Will meet until budgeted funds are allocated $100,000 is available for Redevelopment Incentive Award Committee reviews all awards – Façade Incentive, Loans, Bank Programs • Events CRA Sponsors “Plein Air Bartow” CRA Staff works and supports Main Street Events

  9. Community Partner Activities • West Bartow Front Porch Sponsored “AIDS Awareness” Program. Supported the Youth Employment Program. Match for Grants. • East Bartow Action Committee Committee Coordination and Organization Design of “Character Counts” Youth Development Program Housing And Business Redevelopment

  10. Community Partner Activities • Bartow Marketing Partnership October Meeting – To Determine Marketing Techniques and Direction for 2011 • LB Brown House Supported Caribbean Festival Other Activities Associated With Ongoing Site Development @ the Museum Funding of Education Sessions

  11. Community Partner Activities • Main Street Bartow Inc Downtown Design Standards Comment and Support. Support of Business Incubator - 4 New Business Open First Week of January Board Member & Staff Membership on Promotions Committee Staff Support of Events and Festivals – CRA Staff Managed the Fall Craft Fair Car Show
