Are you bringing a bus to QA? • QA wants to know whether a group or groups from your region will be hiring vans, buses, and drivers to transport them to and from Atlanta for Quadrennial Assembly. • We would like to explore contracting with them to provide transportation services during Quadrennial Assembly and/or use their service under your contract.

  24. Are you bringing a bus to QA? We need: • the anticipated arrival and departure times for the group from your region; • the name of the transportation company; • and the contact information for the person in your region coordinating the services with the transportation company.

  27. QA Promo CD • It is with great enthusiasm that I present the 2014 QA Promo CD. It is in your folder and will be mailed to all Disciples congregations. (3,000 +) • To be good stewards of the environment, QA has opted to provide digital promotional files rather than printed copies of the material.

  33. Can we do this for QA 2014? QA Communion cups • Rocky Mountain Region has committed to 200 cups. • We want to give each woman a cup. • We already sent communication out in Nov. 2013 to the Regions “Calling all potters!” • If you know of anyone willing and able to help, please send me her name, email address, and phone number.

  34. QA Communion Cups The idea is to make tiny, individual sip-sized communion cups to give away as gifts following a worship service during QA.  We are hoping to recruit enough women to make 2000 cups.  These cups would be decorative only and need not be “food safe”.

  35. QA Communion Cups • As you can see, the size and shape are roughly the same, but the cups were not identical. We’re asking that the cups be glazed in colors from the 2014 QA logo (one or more than one).    No etching or writing should appear on the 2014 cups.

  36. QA Communion Cups • QA is asking women to volunteer their time, but it will reimburse women for the cost of their supplies. QA can pay up to $0.10/cup

  37. QA Communion Cups • We’re asking women to ship the cups they create to the QA office prior to May 15, 2014.  The QA office would then arrange shipment to Atlanta. 

  38. QA After Sessions • After Sessions will be Wednesday, Thursday, Friday or Saturday • Options: • Have it per individual region • Organize it by Inter-Regionals • You will receive communication from Penny Phipps

  40. QA Scholarships • Good news • Because we are receiving donations from women when they register- there is a pocket to reach in. We have extended the date to April 15, 2014 • Since day one my prayer is that “where ever there is a woman with a desire to come to QA, the Lord will provide the way” Remember you are the Lord’s hand, feet & pocket. Be generous.

  41. QA Scholarships • Deadline for Scholarship Applications has been extended! • A second round of scholarship applications will be accepted until April 15, 2014.  This new deadline applies to general applicants as well as women studying at theological institutions. • Please pass the word on to the women you represent and encourage them to apply.  You can also find Word and PDF formats online by visiting www.quadrennial.org and clicking on the “QA – Scholarships” link.
