The University • Manchester Context • 4 Faculties, 20 Schools and 19 Research Institutes. • Research Grants and Contract (RGC) income of £196m per year. • 39,732 students of which 3541 are Post graduate Research. • 10,712 staff including 3714 Academic and 1800 Research Associates. • Live RGC projects around 4000 at any one time. • We average around 2000 applications for research funding a year.
