Overall Goal & Objectives • Overall goal : To support economic growth and poverty reduction in RMCs • Objective: To promote sustainable and equitable economic empowerment of women and men
Key Focus Areas (i)Support investments which promote women’s economic empowerment: • Infrastructure: roads, energy, water and sanitation • Agriculture development • Private sector (entrepreneurship development) • TVET & Higher Education
Key Focus Areas (ii)Supporting RMCs governance and policy reform. • Support legal reforms for gender equality • Support policy developments for GE • Strengthen Network with regional organizations (AU, RECs etc) & Other Partners
Key Focus Areas (iii)Institutional capacity building and knowledge building at the Bank and RMCs: • TA to RMCs in Gender Mainstreaming • Capacity Building in Gender Statistics • Economic Sector Work and Studies
