Workstream 1 : Advocacy – Q1 2014 meeting • Update from WHO on next steps for advocacy of recognizing health logistics as a profession: • Finalizing Declaration from Cotonou so that it can be shared with partners • Developing a resolution for a ministerial conference (e.g. one below) • Ministerial Conference on Implementation of GVAP in Africa - Q1-2014 • […] The main objective of holding this ministerial conference is to obtain the commitment of each country to implement the strategies included in GVAP to strengthen immunization, increase demand for immunization services and accelerate the introduction of new vaccines to eradicate, eliminate and/or control VPDs in Africa. Such a conference will aim to bring together a wide variety of stakeholders to include: Ministers of Health, Ministers of Family & Social Welfare, Ministers of Women’s Affairs, Managers of National Immunization Programmes, bilateral & multilateral partners, CSOs, NGOs and private foundations.

Workstream 2 : Curriculum development and certification : Bachelor’s training - 2nd edition • LOGIVAC pre-services training, updated edition taking into consideration the recommendations from the pedagogic review (Sept 16-19th, IRSP) • Identification of trainers (July 2013) • Review of calendar FtF session (July 2013) • FAD 1 needs to be reviewed starting September 2013 (FAD 2 in 2014) • Available capacity: 25 – 30 students • Start date: 25 November 2013 (more aligned with IRSP training calendar) Product Price • Secured scholarships from private sector: GSK: 9 for participants from DRC. • Define Consortium members participation in the process
Worsktream 3 : Plan for expanding to an anglophone location Phase 0: Shortlist Phase I: RFI Phase II: Detailing Phase III: Transferring July August – September October – January February onwards Establish shortlist of countries and institutions. RFI developed. AMP issues a RFI to pre-selected institutions / organizations. Organize site-visits of short-listed countries AMP and selected institution / organization develop a detailed workplan for the transition phase Start with the translation of the material. Material will be reviewed adapted. Pre-services training program is academically accredited.
Worsktream 4 : Supply chain and operational research - Interim report on EVM + HERMES & CCEM written and under review Summarizes the strategic recommendation and progress of the implementation to date Sent to Univ. of Pittsburgh for review
