11. Establishment of The Abomination of Desolation 1. Another phase of Christianity known as Arianism was defeated by Clovis in 508 and Catholicism became the prominent religion of the countries of Europe. • 2. The counterfeit priesthood was then established in 508 throughout Europe and the pope was recognized as The Great High Priest – another god on earth. • 3. The confessional Box and Forgiveness of sins by a Catholic priest was set up at that time. (508) • 4. The role of Jesus, as our Great High Priest in heaven, forgiving sins, was replaced by a man made system. • 5. This is the abomination that makes a desolation – in heaven. • 6. They also replaced the Communion service with the Mass and changed the Sabbath into Sunday.

17. A Christian Religious PowerThat Persecutes Christians This is the prediction: • There has been only one such power that is Christian and has persecuted Christians, by the millions – only at one time - and that was during the Middle Ages

18. The Horn becomes a Head in 538 At this time "Justinian the Great" was the ruler of the Roman Empire. In those days the Empire encluded all the Middle East countries. Justinian liked the city of Constantinople more than Rome. The Papacy was always trying to expand her power into the political arena. Justinian's wife was a devote Castholic and encouraged her husband to let the pope have his throne in Rome. This he did in 538 - Justinian reigned in Constantinople. (See Rev. 13:2) Thus the pope became spiritual ruler over the European countries at that time. (508) The horn becomes a head 538 The Vatican Empire 538 - 1798
