Yes! Hurricanes can…sort of! If a strong Low Pressure system and strong cold front are moving across the US, they can “suck” the hurricane into the system and push the hurricane with them to the east.
Suppose the high pressure had been centered at 79° W and 30° N. Explain how this would have affected the hurricane’s path.
