Division Overview Director: John Mehfoud • 3 teams totaling 12 full time employee workforce • Network Services • Application Development • Geographical Information System • IT Director and Office Manager • Mission: Address the technology needs of VEDP, VTC and VNDIA • Located throughout the building • 18th, 19th and 20th floor • Operate the Presentation Facility

Network Services Team Leader: Stuart Beyer • Consists of a 250 Node PC Network spread across the Richmond Office and 15 Regional Offices across Virginia. • Microsoft and Dell network serving up Microsoft Office 2007 • 3 or 4 year refreshment period on Hardware • Blackberry Cell Phone and PDA Service available • Modern VOIP Nortel Phone System

  4. Application Development Team Leader: Valenda Seaford • 2 full time application developers and team leader to address custom application needs. • Focus on the automation the Economic Development Life-Cycle from a systems level • Work on about 12 projects per year.

  5. Geographic Information Systems Team Leader: Trent Park • Manage VEDP’s Spatial Database and Aerial Imagery • Provide custom map to illustrate Virginia advantage • Actively participate in the formulation of proposals delivered to prospects

  6. Network Resources • Networked Color Printers, Scanners and Copiers • Enterprise Wide File System (H:, K:, X:) Drive • Exchange Server with WebMail access • Enterprise Wide Backup And Restore Capability • Remote Access to Network Resources (E-Mail, Files, Applications)

Presentation Facility • Presentation Technician (Jay Hollomon) over sees the planning, design and technical layout of this complicated room • Office Manager (Judith Carter- Glover) handles the logistics and room reservations • Primary venue for delivering formal proposals and to prospects.
