  3. Admission to COEHS – Standard Admission To apply for COEHS admission, you must have the following: • Minimum 2.75 combined GPA • 28 credits earned • Grade of C or better in COMM 111 • Demonstrate Competency…

  4. Competency Options Option 1: • Composite score of 22 or higher on ACT plus Writing OR • Composite score of 23 or higher on ACT OR • SAT with minimum sub-scores • 520 on Math • 510 on Critical Reading • 480 on Writing

  5. Other Competency Options • Grade of B or better in a college level writing (composition) course such as WBIS 188, ENG 101, ENG 300/312 • OR • Pass the Praxis Core reading (# 5712) and writing (# 5722) • tests with scores of 156 for Reading and 162 for Writing • Grade of C or better in a college level math course (not a remedial course) such as MATH 110, 104, 106, 171 • OR • Pass the Praxis Core Math (# 5732) test with score of 150 You may be eligible to appeal for admission if you have not met any of these options

Academic Requirements (Advisement Report) • Click open arrows to see details • Courses with yellow diamond are “in progress” • Start using and become familiar • If you have questions about your courses or degree audit, come to Drop-ins for quick answers • Use pdf version for easier viewing of details

  11. PDF details • Check your major(s) • Check your licensure level • The major should not be “Satisfied” yet • Complete all Remedial requirements ASAP • Must use degree audit to find this information

Course History in Titan Web • See all your completed and “In Progress” courses • Look for transfer credits (from high school dual enrollment) • Look for AP credits (will have an “S” rather than a grade) • English 101 or 110 replaces WBIS 188 – these do NOT fill Literature • Note that some classes fill two requirements (like HIST 101)

  15. What requirement is your Quest I course filling? • Do you need Writing or Speaking? Or will you have both completed? • Let’s figure out what you might be able to take for Quest II…

Planning for Spring 2020 Using COEHS/USP planning sheet and your Course History list: 1) Plot courses you have completed/in progress 2) Identify what courses & requirements you still need to complete 3) Highlight or circle possible courses for spring semester 4) Find Quest 2 options that will fill one of these from #3

QUEST II Courses • Students are provided opportunities to plan their future in college, work, & life: • Explore major options through Academic Open House week • Alumni and Career & Professional Development class visits • Take in the Spring; must have WBIS 188 or COMM 111 in shopping cart if you will not have credit earned for both If you have not completed a QUEST I, please see your advisor

Error Messages and what you can do… • When enrolling in courses, you may receive one of the following message: • Department Consent – Contact department offering the course • Prerequisite – You are not eligible for course; find another option • Time Conflict – Modify your schedule to find courses that work together • "You do not have a valid enrollment appointment at this time“ – Verify your enrollment date in Titan Web • Not in your career path – Be sure you have selected Oshkosh as your campus on the search page

Next Steps • 1) Take a picture of your worksheet and turn it in today • 2) Your worksheet will be scanned into Navigate by the end of September • 3) Use this information to add classes to your Shopping Cart closer to your enrollment date (courses may fill) • 4) Enroll in courses on your enrollment date & time • Opportunities for help: • Review your course selections or Shopping Cart during Open Appointments or Drop In Hours – Monday & Thursday from 1-3 pm in SSC 202 • PALs can help you use Titan Web and Schedule Planner, and add classes to your Shopping Cart in SSC 202 (the UARC) • Make an appointment with your advisor if you are struggling with your transition to campus life or have other things you want to discuss
