What is different about teaching in an Immersion program than a regular program? • We are family! • K – 12 program • Middle school and high school sanctuary • International/ Intercultural • Graduates at: MIT, Berkeley, UCLA, UCSD, UCSB, Northeastern, Rice etc. • Tolerance • Positive influence (AP, drugs, Crohn’s disease, gangs, pregnancy etc.)
Class of 2010: • (S) Academic Scholarship to George Washington University • (S) Youngest in the family and the first to graduate from high school. Signed up for community college yesterday. • (S) Soccer Scholarship to SDSU • (E) AFS exchange student gap year to Paraguay • (E) Pregnant at 17, first in the family to attend college ( at Baylor University) • (S) Yearbook Editor and first in the family to attend college (CSLA) • (E) Spent a summer in Argentina on a church mission
