Specific Activity to Globalize LES US/Canada • Align US/C with LESI & other National Societies • Increase international content & speakers at US/C meetings • Lead and support activities in the Americas • Expand the royalty rate survey internationally • Globally coordinate and promote World IP Day with “Around the World with LES” programs and receptions

Align US/C with LESI and National Societies • Identify key committees and functions • Align committees and functions and names • Align and coordinate leaders in similar functions • Create alignment grid of positions/people • Facilitate communication among aligned people • Appoint US/C past chairs as liaisons with LESI • Appoint key US/C leaders as int’l delegates

Increase international content and speakers at US/C meetings • Establish international content chair for meeting committees • Identify and obtain speakers through • regional LESI committee chairs • US/C sectors & LESI working groups • national society presidents & boards • Result for US/C San Francisco meeting • Americas workshop • European workshops • Asia workshop

Lead and support LES activities in the Americas and elsewhere • Latin American LES innovation tour started 2008 biannual multinational tour (4 US/C speakers) • Brazil/Argentina/Chile LES innovation conference started 2009 biannual conference in alternating countries • Provide speakers for other National society meetings: AN MX • Export US/Canada IAM programs to National society meetings • Support train-the-trainer course • Support association between ADIAT and LES Mexico • International workshops LESI Philippines and San Francisco • Americas national society presidents semiannual meetings

  11. 4. Expand the royalty rate survey internationally • Guide the royalty rate committee through LESI and the leading LES national societies to expand the committee and conduct the survey

  12. 5. Globally coordinate and promote World IP Day

  13. Initial activities • Discuss with US/C and LESI leaders • Prepare letter from LESI • Plan international coordination meeting • Prepare posters, flyers, promotion • Announcement at delegate meeting • Build the buzz
