Ministers and PASci Presidents appeal for EIT • Polish State ought to put the greatest possible effort into breeding the conditions for close bonds between Polishacademic-science environment and European Institute of Innovation and Technology structures • We have decided to sign this appeal supporting our pursuit to participate in one of the biggest European civilization initiatives, because Poland is facing the chance which history hasn’t given this country for centuries’

EIT Plus - 1 year after launch • Revised town and region development plan • EIT Plus – a certified recipient of SF in Sectorial Operational Programme – Innovative Economy • Several programmes on a priority list – total about 400 mln € already • Campus Pracze feasibility study • Partnership being signed with key industrial partners It will be one of Polish EIT - related flagships and KIC candidates

  16. KICs – 5 „must” conditions • Having already existing excellence in mind, the potential for growth must be decisive factor for the KICs choice – hence the active presence of NMS is an absolute must. Here the EIT will not be just a mere addition, but shall have a very strong positive leverage effect. • To be successful, the KICs creation should be an essential part of a regional development strategy, as this may also assure larger and easier to gather resources. • KICs should from the outset amalgamate with the local knowledge community. • The initial number of 3 KICs should be increased as soon as the will and resources give assurance to their quality and stability. • The attraction of young talents should start as soon as possible, even before a formal setting of the KICs. It can be done via dedicated named EIT grants. We are ready for that.
