LMD : Data Collection • Data mainly collected by two means: • PSTN connected stations automatically polled on an hourly basis : 15 stations • The rest are visited about once per month, and data is retrieved on removable memory cards. • (NB : Very few stations have manually recorded data : 2 stations )

LMD : Related Future Plans • Implement National interaction between different Institutions: Ministry of water  Meteorology  Ministry of Agriculture  Ministry of Environment • Find a common ground for National data interchange • Develop more robust Database (web managed &/or web queried database) • Implement preliminary data control system • At a later stage, try to implement quality control system, homogeneity control system

  15. LMD : Related Future Plans • Additional personel needed • Personel training needed • Weather radar, wind shear radar required • Maybe Regional interchange? I guess it’s up to this meeting to give the first kick!
