CLASSROOM EXPECTATIONS EXPECTATIVAS DE AULA: • To give your students the academic and social skills they need to progress to 9th grade. • To provide a supportive and SAFE classroom environment. • ALL STUDENTS MUST COMPLETE COPYING OF THE AGENDA & JOURNAL WITHIN THE FIRST 10 MINUTES OF CLASS. TODOS LOS ESTUDIANTES DEBEN COMPLETAR LA COPIA DE LA AGENDA Y DEL PERIODO DENTRO DE LOS PRIMEROS 10 MINUTOS DE LA CLASE. BE ON TIME- LLEGAR A TIEMPO • FOLLOW DIRECTIONS- SEGUIR DIRECCIONES • BE PREPARED-HOMEWORK COMPLETED ESTAR PREPARADO- TODAS LAS TAREAS COMPLETADAS • BE RESPECTFUL- SE RESPECTUOSO • BE RESPONSIBLE- SE RESPONSIBLE • BE HONEST- SE HONESTO

Homework EXPECTATIONS • Students are assigned about 45 minutes of homework every night. • ALL STUDENTS MUST WRITE DOWN HIS/HER HOMEWORK ON THEIR HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENT LIST EVERY DAY. • All assignments are due on the due date FOR FULL CREDIT • LATE CREDIT POLICY-, 10% will be taken off of the total grade for each class meeting the past the assignment due date. • After the THIRD class meeting the assignment can only be turned in after a one-to-one conference with student and/or parent. • NOTE: In the case of an EXCUSED ABSENCE, IT IS ALSO THE STUDENT’S RESPONSIBILITY TO GET THE CLASSNOTES FROM HIS OR HER CLASSMATES.

TARAS EXPECTATIVAS • Voy a asignar unos 45 minutos de tarea cada noche . • TODOS LOS ESTUDIANTES DEBEN ESCRIBIR SU HOGAR EN SU LISTA DE ASIGNACIÓN DE TAREAS TODOS LOS DÍAS. • Todas las asignaciones son debidas en la fecha de vencimiento • POLÍTICA DE CRÉDITO TARDÍO-, se retirará el 10% de la calificación total para cada clase que cumpla la fecha de vencimiento de la asignación. • Un estudiante tendrá HASTA LA TERCERA (3ª) reunión de clase más allá de la fecha de vencimiento para entregar las asignaciones finales para el crédito tardío. • Después de la reunión de clase TERCERA, la asignación sólo puede ser entregada después de una conferencia individual con el estudiante y / o padre. • NOTA: En el caso de una AUSENCIA EXCUSIDA,TAMBIÉN ES LA RESPONSABILIDAD DEL ESTUDIANTE DE CONSEGUIR LAS CLASES DE SUS CLASES.

GRADING POLICYPOLÍTICA DE CALIFICACIONES CATAGROY AND WEIGHTS CATAGROY Y PESOS 100%-90% = A 89%-80% = B 79%-73% = C 72%-70% = C- 69%-0% = F NOT TURNED IN = 0% INCOMPLETE ASSIGNMENTS = 0% • ~ FORMAL SUMMATIVE ASSESSMENTS-40% of students’ grade average– this category will include traditional tests, common unit assessments, projects, performance tasks, essays and presentations. • ~ FORMAL FORMATIVE ASSESSMENTS-45% of students’ grade average- this category will include quizzes, short constructed response, graphic organizers, academic talk, any graded homework and class work tasks. • ~PARTICIPATION - 15% of students’ grade averagein the course. – this category will include non-graded assignments, such as Journal entries, non-graded homework sheets, discussions based on opinions, parent signatures.
