UNC Partnership for National Security Military Education UNC Systemwide Evaluation and Recommendation for Veterans Education and Services (UNC SERVES) In 2011 the UNC SERVES workgroup issued a report to the President evaluating the state of active duty military and veteran affairs at UNC institutions and providing recommendations for institutional, system-wide, and state/federal statutory policy changes, regulations and/or guidelines to improve access, retention and the graduation of active duty military and veterans at UNC institutions. UNC Partnership for National Security Military Education NC Military Educational Positioning System: Explore, Navigate, Graduate http://ncmileps.northcarolina.edu/ With funding from the Aurora Foundation and other sources, UNC General Administration developed theNC Military Educational Positioning System (NC MEPS) • An interactive, online resource to assist current and former service members and their families with college preparation and transition to post-graduate careers. • Based on the Global Positioning System (GPS) concept, NC MEPS assists users in plotting a personalized course from application to graduation.
