Wikipedia says . . . “Social bookmarking is a method for Internet users to share, organize, search, and manage bookmarks of web resources.”
About.com defines social bookmarking sites as “sites that allow users to post their favorite sites, using tags (or keywords) to categorize and organize them; then other users can take these bookmarks and add them to their own collection or share them with even more users.”
In other words . . . Social bookmarking sites are websites that allow you to store the addresses of your favorite websites on-line so that you can easily access them and share them with others.
