  2. Introduction • Hydropower is the energy that comes from the force of moving water through a turbine inside a dam.

  5. Ways we use it • Electricity • Controlling floods

  6. How we get it? We can build a dam with turbines inside it and having an area where water can flow through and spin the turbines to create electricity. • Deepening water ways • Drinking water http://teeic.anl.gov/images/photos/lhhydro_facility.jpg

  7. Is it safe to use? • It is sort of safe to use.But it interrupts the life cycle of some fish,some of the water that flows back in is cold.The fish aren’t used to it.Also the water lacks nutrients that the fish need http://dnrc.mt.gov/wrd/water_proj/hydro/Tostondam.jpg

  8. Advantages Its renewable,once the dam is built all of the energy is virtually free.Much more reliable than wind,solar or wave power. Disadvantages Dams are expensive,building a large dam will cause problems for animals,water and downstream quality.Which will then effect plant life. Advantages and Disadvantages
