  3. Curriculum • Focus on integrated learning • Skills will reach across ALL content areas • Research projects (across curriculum) • Small group instruction as well as centers will be implemented during Literacy block and Math.

  4. Daily Homework • Homework is given on a daily basis • 3-2-1 system • A “3” if it is complete and accurate. • “2” if complete but may need corrections • “1” if the student did not put their best effort into the assignment and possibly rushed through the task. • “0” if the assignment has not been completed Longer projects/written assignments may be assigned a higher point value

  5. GRADEBOOK • With integrated units of study one assignment may count as two grades. For example a written response in Social Studies may be recorded as a grade for content (SS) and a grade in English. • CATEGORY WEIGHTS • Homework – 10% • Classwork – 35% • Participation – 15% • Assessment – 40%

  6. POWERSCHOOL • Due to the change in our grading procedures, I encourage you to check Powerschool on a regular basis. • Please make sure you are a registered user, if not please contact our Technology Department
