  2. Who does it help? This assistive listening device helps students who have severe to profound hearing loss.

  3. What does the Motiva PFM360 system can do for a hearing-impaired child? It allows the child to hear the teacher's voice at an appropriate and constant intensity level regardless of the distance between the child and the teacher.

  4. How the Motiva FM system works? The teacher talks into a lapel microphone which is plugged into the body-pack style transmitter. The transmitter broadcasts the teacher’s message wirelessly up to 150 feet. Student wears a body-pack style receiver equipped with an earphone to pickup the speaker’s broadcast.

  5. Transmitter Operating on two AA size batteries, the transmitter gets up to 30 hours of battery life with alkaline batteries and up to 20 hours with rechargeable batteries.

  6. Receiver The receiver features a sensitive environmental microphone. By turning on the environmental mic, students can balance the level between the received FM signal and other classmates.

  7. The receiver operating time with rechargeable batteries is approximately 17 hours and 21 hours with alkaline batteries.

  8. Charger The system includes a charger conveniently charges the transmitter and receiver simultaneously without the need for removing the rechargeable batteries. The charging time is approximately 16 hours.
