Work done at IAS revolutionized ways we live and understand the world. • Examples: • Einstein’s theory of relativity • one of the first stored program computers was designed • andbuilt on the Institute’s campus; research from that • projectinfluenced development of today’s computers and • computersoftware. The foundations of game theory, a powerful tool in economics, were formed at the Institute.
