Design and create a mini board game, packaging box, vacuum-formed insert, game pieces, and cards. Be adventurous in your designs and target a high standard. Choose a topic that interests you and adapt the format of Monopoly or Trivial Pursuit.

Year 11 Coursework: Introduction You are being asked to design and make: 1) a board for a game (half size) 2) the game’s packaging box (cover and box shape – half size) 3) a vacuum formed insert to go inside of the miniature box. 4) a sample game piece. 5) some cards that go with the game (an instruction card, chance cards or such like).And then optionally, any other parts you might want to make – be as adventurous as you want but please understand that you may need to give up a few lunchtimes to do more adventurous tasks! Examples could be: your own moulds for chocolate pieces with wrappers, a cover and DVD label for a DVD game, vacuum formed “slot-in” parts for your board, a pop-up mechanism that opens out when you fold out the board, a vinyl pattern that overlaps a see through window incorporated into your packaging design etc...
Year 11 Coursework: Introduction Look at the exemplar material: Figure out what standard should be the minimum you’re aiming for. What is your target grade? Both A grade and C grade exemplar material specific to the board game are on the portal. Your work will largely be submitted on the portal.
