  3. Display a 7 segmenti • Ciascun segmento ha una propria lettera di identificazione (a,b,c,d,e,f,g).

  4. Display a 7 segmenti • Per la visualizzazione di una cifra o numero è necessario che alcuni segmenti siano accesi e alcuni spenti.

  5. Display a 7 segmenti • Per visualizzare 16 caratteri il circuito ha bisogno di 4 segnali in ingresso (A0,A1,A2,A3) e 7 in uscita (a, b, c, d, e, f, g) uno per ciascuno dei segmenti del display, e che faccia corrispondere a ciascuno delle configurazioni in ingresso un simbolo sul display.

  6. Display a 7 segmenti • Se vi sono 4 ingressi possiamo avere 24=16 forme diverse di ingressi; • Si impone che 1 corrisponda al livello alto (H) e che accenda il segmento corrispondente.
