It was the 35th ODI fifty for him in the Asia Cup 2018. A fine partnership held between Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan. However, soon after Rohit’s half-century, Shadab Khan set him back to the pavilion. But, Shikhar Dhawan kept the fight alive but Faheem Ashraf dismissed him for 46 as the left- handed batsman missed out on his fifty. After Rohit and Dhawan's dismissal, both Ambati Rayudu and Dinesh Karthik assured India crossed the finishing line. Ambati Rayudu hit the finishing runs and achieved the target in just 29 overs. Now, India will again clash against Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2018 on September 23 on the same venue. Bhuvaneshwar Kumar was adjudged "Man of the Match" for his brilliant spell of 3/15.
