Club Positions – Today’s Perspective • One Club Position per Member • Must be found in table – or manually added • Multiple positions help must be added to table: • S/SE – Secretary/Secretary-Elect • T/PE - Treasurer/Pres-Elect • T/TRF - Club Treasurer/Foundation Chair • Etc. • Convoluted relationship with future club positions • Must define “Elects” this year • Club leadership history is lost (not captured)
Club Positions – Why Change? • Current approach means every combo of positions must be identified in Club Position table (Admin) • Clubs / District have unique Club positions • Position sorts are not flexible • Year-end processing is difficult: • Clubs jump the gun – promote prior to June 30 • Clubs don’t identify (correctly) future roles • Process can step on club changes – make a MESS!! • Process is not 100% perfect • Future club leadership can be clearly planned • Club leadership history can be captured / displayed
2011 – Club Positions – Final • Use current Club Positions as Lookup Table • Enable assignment of positions in future OrgYears • Support mid-year changes – not fixed to OrgYear boundary

What changed • Every position is date effective – start and end date • Each position can be a custom position name (or not) • Role pick to create initial club position name • “IsLeader” checkbox can be set/reset • Club Position -- sorting position can be changed • Security level associated with position can be easily changed

Role Progression • One entry, can generate 5 positions with 1-click! • Role progressions recognized: • PN, PE, P, iPP, PP • SE, S • TE, T
Customize the Position • Custom position/role names • Leader or not (listed at top of my club) • Different security level (if needed) • Different sorting level (sequence leaders appears in)
Club Position Name Convention • Entered as: “Club Secretary, Bookkeeper” • (note: separated by a comma) • Entered as: “Club Secretary/Bookkeeper” • (note: no comma – used “/”)
