JP Landman: • ’n Moderne samelewing is nie een wat die heel tyd op die regering wag en na visioenêre leiers verlang nie. • Dis eerder een waar die burgerlike samelewing, dus die privaatsektor, self opstaan en dinge help bou. • Meer as die media en privaatsektor is die talle individue en organisasies wat elke dag bou aan ons samelewing, van huisvroue en hul bediendes tot vrywilligers wat munisipaliteite help omkeer, tot reserviste wat die polisie help, tot boere wat sokkervelde help inrig. • Hulle is bouers, nie slopers nie. Die land het wel sy kwota slopers wat biblioteke afbrand en die land slegsê. Maar gelukkig is daar meer bouers. .
