INTRODUCTION I will include why he traveled to North America, the obstacles he faced, the reactions from the Native Americans, and his contributions to New York State. There are many reasons as to why I chose to research this explorer. For example, I found it interesting that a bridge is named after him. I wanted to know if Giovanni da Verrazano really had 7 wives and 68 kids.
Why he traveled to north America Giovanni da Verrazano traveled to North America for many reasons. Firstly, he went to North America because he wanted to trade with the people. He traded with the people so that he can show the place where he had come from. He went to find riches and bring back wonderful voyages. In addition, he wanted to claim sites. He will get more money from the people who sent him to North America. As you can see this is why I chose my explorer and why he went to North America.
What obstacle he faced Giovanni da Verrazano faced an obstacles during his journey. One way he had an obstacle in his way was two of his ships getting destroyed. Only one of his ships returned back with some jewels. He was responsible for every voyage that he had to bring back to France. In addition, the Native American people didn’t want to always trade. As you can see, there were a few obstacles in his way.
Contribution on New York State Giovanni da Verrazano had an impact or contribution. For example, He tried trading with the people from Wampanoag’s. In addition to that example, He was also the first European to enter New York Bay.
In conclusion, now you know about why he traveled to North America, the obstacles he faced, the reactions from the Native Americans, and his contributions to New York State.
