STAVE 13 POS 07 RE-INTEGRATION • Stave 13 was successfully re-integrated on the IBL package on Friday, 21th.
STAVE 19 POS 03 INTEGRATION • Stave 19 was successfully integrated on the IBL package on Monday, 24th. • End blocks on both sides were machined with a very low planarity
STAVE 02 POS 02 INTEGRATION • Stave 02 was successfully integrated on the IBL package on Wednesday, 26th.
STAVE 17 POS 01 INTEGRATION • IBL staves integration completed successfully with stave 17 on Wednesday, 26th.
TASKS TO COMPLETE THE PACKAGE A huge step forward but still a lot to do before the IBL completion (Didier F. PP0) • Stave integration completion – Until March 27th • Monday 24th: Integration of stave at position Phi #3 • Wednesday 26th morning: Integration of stave at position Phi #2 • Wednesday 26th afternoon : Integration of the last stave – Stave #17 • Thursday 27th : Last electrical connectivity tests • Engineering on IBL by 1 single rotation – March 27th to April 3rd • Mushroom + glue drops on A and C sides (alternate every two staves) • Spring loaded screws on A-side – securing system with either Loctite222 or Epoxy has to be tested • Central ring including tooling (test on mock-up to be considered) • Lacing of I-Flex region (to be discussed with FX) • Kapton foil protection on Type 1 15

TASKS TO COMPLETE THE PACKAGE • Sealing rings and Wifi RH sensors – April 4th to 8th • Z-translation of IPT by +2 and -2 cm for these steps • Fill sealing ring openings with PUR glue and enclose with a Teflon collar • Repeat the operation on the other side after sliding the IBL package • Insertion of the 4 Wifi RH sensors inside the IBL package • Electrical tests of the 14 staves before or after closure (1 day) • IST closure and Humidity tests – April 9th to 24th • Envelope check and MPC closure • Sealing ring clamp and seal the overall IST along the 7m with kapton tape • Flushing of N2 + RH measurements and cross-calibrations (15 calendar days) 18
TASKS TO COMPLETE THE PACKAGE • Service wrapping – April 11th to 24th • Beam pipe extender installation • Service wrapping on A and C sides • Removal of service wheels • Final IBL closure – April 24th to April 30th • MPC extension connection • Sealing of package plus flushing and reading of the Wifi humidity sensors • Contingency of 1 day plus one week-end beginning of May • Movement to loading area and Transport to SX1 – May 5th (depending of the weather) • NB: • All the testing meaning: connectivity tests and relative humidity measurements must be in phase with the above engineering work (coordination by Alessandro and Daniel) 19
