How to do it • Create your poster in PowerPoint • Save it • “Print” the file using Acrobat Distiller (not Reader) • This saves a new .pdf file that can be uploaded to LegSim on your profile page
Creating with PowerPoint • Inserting pictures • Click on Insert, scroll down to Pictures. You can either choose pictures from Clipart or from your own files. • Or right click on an image and copy it. Then paste it to Powerpoint. Drag the image to move it or resize. • Inserting text boxes • Click on Insert, choose Textbox • Drag to proper location or to re-size • To delete, click on the border and then hit delete • Format • Lots of Format options, such as changing the background color of your slide • Change text size or color by highlighting it first
Design Tips • Choose a simple familiar message that will resonate with voters. Don’t ask them to think! • e.g. she cares, she’s a fighter, she’s a flip flopper • Spin but don’t lie. Let voters draw their own conclusions • Colors, Symbols, Slogans are good ways to send memorable messages • Be original to grab attention!
