Implementation of TWG Recommended Procedures • Procedures added to side airbag, side air curtain & safety canopy internal design standards • Prior to TWG, internal design standards for SAB systems included stringent OOP requirements • Internal design standards maintaining OOP tests that differ from TWG October 25, 2001

Properly Restrained Children in Rear Seat & Curtain/Safety Canopy • Children, 12 years old & under, should always be properly restrained in the second or third row (if equipped) of seats. Ford Motor Company’s side curtains & safety canopies will not interfere with children restrained using a properly installed child/booster seat because these SAB systems inflate downward, from the headliner above the doors, along the side window opening. • Properly restrain children in the rear seat!
