  4. Fall 2011 Learning Disability Orientation Workshops delivered to: YMCA Employment Staff Sudbury & District Health Unit Larch Street Kids - ECE Staff Better Beginnings, Better Futures - ECE Staff

  5. Wikwemikong Education Conference Oct. 6th & 7th2011 Welcoming educators in Wikwemikong participated in two days of workshops that outlined Best Practices Instructional Approaches featured in “Learning for All K-12”.

  7. LDAS hosted 232 community members at the 2011 Awareness Month Breakfast

  8. As part of the Awareness Breakfast festivities, an educator from each school board was recognized for their contributions to the success of students with learning disabilities. Coleen Eberlein Kelly Leach Orasi Coleen Eberlein

  9. Partnered with Cambrian College, LDAS hosted a one week Assistive Technology Camp. 14 students and their parents were introduced to software programs. AT equals Access To Learning.

  10. February 2011 The production of a Educator DVD Training Tool – “I Learn Differently. Please Teach Me Differently” “I LEARN DIFFERENTLY, PLEASE TEACH ME DIFFERENTLY”

  11. Long time supporter, GordEwin and Laurentian student, KrissyBattistoni, featured the new LDAS Parent Brochure as part of October 2011 Awareness Month.

  12. Henry Winkler, (AKA The Fonz) wowed a large Sudbury crowd of Parents, Students, Educators and community members on October 19th, 2009. Winkler's’ struggles with his learning disability are profiled in his children’s books, Hank Zipzer, The World’s Greatest Underachiever. His inspiring message modeled his often utilized quote: “We all have greatness inside of us”.
