  3. Ghost #2 Achilles • He will meet the Siren Sisters • Sweet voices • Will drive men overboard • Makes men’s bones into instruments

  4. Ghost #3 Ajax • When Ulysses goes back to Ithaca • He will find his wife being courted by other men • He will find his son captive in his own castle • All his food will be gone

  5. Ghost #4 Elpenor • Ulysses must build him a grave OR…. Elpenor will • Scratch at his windows • Howl down his chimney • Dance in his sleep • Tells Ulysses he will have to pass through a narrow strait • Scylla – 6 heads; 12 legs • Will eat 6 sailors at a time • Charybdis – sucks in water in one gulp and spits it out - whirlpool

  6. Ghost #5 Teiresias • Land of the Sun Titan • Don’t let your men steal the golden cattle, or they will never see home again

  7. Ghost #6 Mom • Says Goodbye……..
