What are Dynamics 365 CE and the common data service?<br>Microsoft likes to upgrade product titles, and also the Dynamics suite of products has seen some name changes in recent years. We also have used new terms like modern workplaces, business applications, power platform, etc., and this may be confusing.<br>One of the most confusing parts of this is that the difference between Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement and Common Data Service (CDS). <br>Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement, previously Microsoft Dynamics CRM, formerly Microsoft CRM... is no longer really a product.   1. Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement and the Common Data Service What are Dynamics 365 CE and the common data service? Microsoft likes to upgrade product titles, and also the Dynamics suite of products has seen some name changes in recent years. We also have used new terms like modern workplaces, business applications, power platform, etc., and this may be confusing. One of the most confusing parts of this is that the difference between Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement and Common Data Service (CDS). Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement, previously Microsoft Dynamics CRM, formerly Microsoft CRM... is no longer really a product. But don't panic. Before we get there, let us talk about developing the solution. The Growth of Microsoft CRM and Dynamics 365 When Microsoft started creating Microsoft CRM, the Community had to expand the software. Originally all this was done by code, but Microsoft gave us the chance to perform it in version 4 without code. This allowed system administrators with just knowledge of data modeling, to extend the program beyond their limits, from the box functions. A few years Back, Microsoft understood that the D365CE was an excellent product. The most important applications were advertising, client support and sales - the cornerstones of all CRM systems. Microsoft has seen a growing trend towards purchasing project management, membership, strength management and other applications. While some clients still used aspects of Sales or customer support applications, many were using the stage due to their good foundation of enrolment types, functionality, safety, and excellent integrations with Office 365 and other Microsoft products. The Common Data Service platform allows you to personalize the user experience by removing or adding fields, redesigning types and modifying the way data is entered. Do you have to list anything else? Create new document types in moments and collect data. Model these data demands and build relationships so that you may use them to create reports. Would you wish to automate a process? It's entirely possible. With integration into Office 365, sending emails and creating tasks or appointments is a breeze.
