A Little Background on the Incident at Waco, Texasfrom Waco—A New Revelation (Documentary) • February 28th, 1993, agents of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF) raided the Branch-Davidian compound near Waco, Texas. • Four ATF agents and six Branch-Davidians were killed in the shootout. • The FBI began a siege of the compound that lasted for 51 days.
A Little Background on the Incident at Waco, Texas On April 19, 1993, the siege ended with a fire on the compound. 79 men, women, and children were found dead. The FBI later claimed that it was a mass suicide. Some Branch-Davidian survivors, former FBI agents, and CIA operatives claim that it was not a mass suicide, and the FBI was to blame for the fire.
