  9. Data Standards Strategy • Identify existing necessary common standards and definitions to enable movement of data and knowledge within health care (or identify need for creation if they do not already exist) • Identify those standards that are “operable”

Builds upon eHealth Initiative’s Public Health Work • eHealth Initiative’s Public-Private Sector Collaboration for Public Health served as a launch-pad for Connecting for Health • eHI provides staffing support to Connecting for Health – overlapping leadership • Similar strategy but Connecting for Health touches on broader group of constituencies

  13. Critical Success Factors • Engaging those with the ability to drive change • Focusing on practical, incremental solutions that can be implemented in the near-term • Rapidly producing tangible results • Working collaboratively with other groups
