CSIR NET Eligibility Criteria All those students who want to pursue a career as a lecturer in prestigious universities or are interested in joining government sector firms as junior research fellowship then you would be required to clear CSIR NET (Council for Scientific and Industrial Research National Entrance Test). The exam is basically focused to only science stream students in five subjects which are Life Science, Earth Science, Mathematical Science, Physical Science and Chemical Science. The entrance exam is usually conducted twice in a year and this time the CSIR NET exam 2019 is about to be taken place on 16th June 2019 which is going to be organized by CSIR at nation level. But before appearing for the examination one should be sure whether he/she is eligible for the exam as the eligibility criteria will filter out most of the students or candidate willing to appear for. Download CSIR NET Books PDF Here CSIR Exam 2019 eligibility Criteria • The candidate should be an Indian citizen • The candidate should possess any of the following degree like M.Sc or equivalent degree , Integrated BS-MS, BS completing 4 years, B.Tech, B Pharma or MBBS with at least a score of 55% when considering general and for SC/ST and person who are physically challenged, there is a concession of 5% i.e. 50%. • The applicants who have enroller for M.SC or who have qualified any of the above mentioned examination while submitting the form on the last date of application is also eligible. However, there is a category called as RA (result Awaited) where candidate who are willing to be part of the fellowship should complete their degree with required percentage within the validity period of two years to avail this benefit. They would even be required to submit an attestation form dully certified by the institute where they are currently pursuing their degree. • In CSIR NET exam the candidates who are holding a degree in B.Sc (Hons) or any other equivalent degree or those who have enrolled in integrated MS-PhD program with at least 55% marks (50% mark for those candidates who comes under SC/ ST/ PwD category) are also clear to give the examination. But all those candidates who are holding an undergraduate degree will only be eligible for CSIR fellowship if they get a register for PhD/ Integrated PhD course within the validity period of two years. • There is special notification declared at the official website stating that those candidates who have clear only bachelor’s degree won’t be eligible for lectureship. • All those Candidates who have achieved their PhD degree and have also cleared their master’s degree before September 19, 1991 and have scored at least 50% marks are only eligible to apply for lectureship.

But for special category there is age relaxation like 33 years for SC/ ST/ PwD/ female candidates and 31 years for OBC candidates For post of Lectureship: There is no upper age limit for the candidates to apply for.
