NSF EPSCoR Outreach: Strengthening Research Competitiveness

REVISED OUTREACH PROCEDUREShttp://www.nsf.gov/od/oia/programs/epscor/Outreach%20Procedures_FY2012.pdf Overview of Key Changes (Cont’d) Activities may be initiated by either: • the jurisdiction’s host in concert with the NSF EPSCoR Office, or • NSF EPSCoR staff in concert with the jurisdiction’s host Jurisdictions must not extend invitations to NSF staff directly prior to consulting with the NSF EPSCoR Outreach Coordinator (if outreach support is expected).

REVISED OUTREACH PROCEDUREShttp://www.nsf.gov/od/oia/programs/epscor/Outreach%20Procedures_FY2012.pdf • CONTENT OF OUTREACH REQUESTS • Requests for outreach should be emailed by the EPSCoR jurisdiction host to the NSF EPSCoR Outreach Coordinator and include the following information: • --Purpose of the outreach visit • --Number of anticipated attendees/participants • --Suggested NSF staff (name and Directorate/Division/Office); and • --Draft agenda or itinerary (if available at time of request) Participant Evaluation of Activity is expected!

EPSCoR OutreachImportant Dates for Remainder of FY2012 and Start-up for FY2013 (October 2012) All requests for EPSCoR outreach through September 30, 2012 should be submitted promptly to the EPSCoR outreach coordinator on or before Friday, July 27, 2012. Staff travel restrictions may be in effect for the start of FY2013 which begins on October 1, 2012. Guidance for EPSCoR Outreach Travel Support for this period will be forthcoming.
