Full Guidelines: CUSAT CAT Exam 2019, Eligibility, Result, Question Paper Cochin University of Science & Technology will conduct a University level entrance exam called CUSAT CAT 2019 for various B.Tech programmes. By qualifying this examination the selected aspirants will get the chance to study engineering under the campuses affiliated by the CUSAT CAT Exam 2019 conducting authority. This examination is conducted in online mode and only objective type question would be asked in the exam. The complete course of 10+2 is the syllabus for this examination. To apply for this examination you have to first fulfil the Eligibility Criteria that is laid down by the University. Once you are eligible you can fill out the online Application Form which is going to release by the 1st week of February 2019. There are more than 25 exam centres available, you can choose any exam centre according to your own preference at the time of the registration. As soon as the Result for the exam is declared, the University will prepare the Cutoff list. The Admission is going to be conducted on the basis of this Cutoff list. Before knowing how to apply for the exam, first learn about the Eligibility Criteria. You cannot apply for this examination if you are not eligible. Eligibility Criteria:
1.Only the Indian Citizens are eligible to apply for this examination. 2.Candidates of maximum 20 years of age are eligible. And the maximum age limit for SC, ST, and OBC candidates is 22 years. 3.Candidates must have a qualifying degree of the 10+2 exam from a recognized board with PCM as subjects. The minimum qualifying marks for the candidates is 50%. Also, the SEBC candidates from Kerala belonging to the non-creamy layer are going to get 5% relaxation for the marks in their 10+2 degree. The eligible candidates can fill out the CUSAT CAT Application Form 2019 which will release through the online mode on the official website. Candidates have to first register themselves by entering their personal details such as name, date of birth, email, etc. Once the registration is completed, the candidates will receive an OTP on their mobile number using which they can make the Application Form appear on the screen. It is advised to the candidates to enter all the details on the Application Form carefully without making any mistake. Also, remember to upload all the required images after scanning them. Once the Application Form is filled, candidates can proceed on to paying the Application Fee. The Application Fee announced for the candidates from the General category is Rs. 1000 and the Application Fee for the SC/ST candidates is Rs. 500. You have to submit the Application Form once the Application Fee has been paid. The last date to submit the Application Form is the last week of February 2019. If you miss the last date then you will have to pay a fine as late fee while submitting the Form. The last date to submit the Application Form with the late fee the last week of March 2019. Admit Card You will get the Admit Card for the examination only if your Application Form is submitted successfully. The Admit Card will be available online on the official website by the 3rd week of April 2019. You can download the Admit Card by entering the login credentials. The Admit Card is going to carry all the information which is required on the day of the examination such as exam centre, application number, etc. Check the Admit Card before downloading it. In case you find an error then immediately inform the issue to the concerned authority. The candidates are required to carry their respective Admit Card on the day of the exam. Anyone found without the Admit Card is not going to be allowed to sit for the exam. Also, you must carry an extra identity proof such as Voter ID, etc along with the Admit Card. The last date to download the Admit Card is the last week of April 2019. The Pattern of the Exam This computer-based test is going to be conducted in the last week of April 2019. Candidates will get only objective type questions in this examination.
The CUSAT CAT Exam Pattern 2019 is that the subjects which will come for the exam are Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The total number of questions and the total marks for the exam are 250 and 750 respectively. 3 marks would be given for every correct answer and 1 mark would be deducted for every wrong answer. The duration of the exam is 240 minutes. Result Declaration The exam authority will publish an Answer Key after the commencement of the exam. The authority will prepare the Cutoff once the Result is out. Counselling Process The candidates selected for the Admission after the Cutoff list is announced will get the chance to participate in the Counselling Process. The tentative date for the Counselling Process is the 1st week to last week of June 2019. Candidates are required to visit the campus along with the documents in this process.
