  2. NUEVAS INFECCIONES POR VIH EN LA C.A.P.V. AÑO 2005 • Durante el año 2005 se han diagnosticado 152 nuevas infecciones por VIH en el País Vasco, el 5,6% más que en el año 2004. • El 67,1% (102) son hombres (edad media: 37,8 años) y el 32,9% (50) son mujeres (edad media: 35,4 años). • El 74,5% de los hombres y el 87,5% de las mujeres se ha infectado por transmisión sexual. • En el 29,6% de los casos, el diagnóstico de VIH coincide con el de sida, (el 28,4% de los hombres y el 32% de las mujeres). • El 24,3% de las nuevas infecciones por VIH se ha producido en extranjeros.
