10. Location of Books & Journals • Books are arranged according to decimal notation. It is easy to track a book in the shelf, if you can locate the same in the catalog. We call that notation class number. 12. Reading facility • There are several reading areas inside the library. You have to observe silence in most of the areas. If you want to study in groups or discuss with your colleagues, please move to Group Study Area (first-floor reading hall). Swati Bhattacharyya

Borrowing facility • PGDM/PGDCM student • General books – 5 books for 15 days • CD accompanying book – 1 for 15 days • Overnight books – 1 book for 13 hours (to be issued between 11PM and 12:30 AM and same to be returned before 11:59 AM) • FP student • General books – 20 books for 90 days • CD accompanying book – 1 for 15 days • Overnight books – 1 book for 13 hours (to be issued between 11PM and 12:30 AM and same to be returned before 11:59 AM) Swati Bhattacharyya

14. Photocopy • You can avail our photocopy service against payment; • Photocopy service is available from 11AM – 7 PM on working days only; • You will be charged 70 paisa per exposure; Swati Bhattacharyya

15. Computing facility • We have a computing facility room which houses several desktops. Besides, there are few more computers in different locations of the library. Please ask Users’ Assistance Desk to know the locations. The library is also wi-fi enabled. Swati Bhattacharyya

16. Access to electronic resources • Our electronic resources include • Online, web-enabled catalog; • Web-enabled databases; • Resources hosted on LAN • E-journals and books – both web-enabled Swati Bhattacharyya

An important note on accessing e-resources • Most of our e-resources are hosted on various websites; • According to the new security policy of the institute, only authorized users can have access to the Internet; • Your iimcal email-id and password should be used for authorized access to the Internet; • This implies that you must get your email acount as soon as possible. 22. The catalog • In addition to help you find if we have a document in our stock, our catalog will also assist you on the followings: • To check the books that are overdue; • To make a reservation for a book that is currently issued out; • To renew books online (once only); Swati Bhattacharyya

23. Please note • You have to submit your iimcal email id, to us, within a month. This will help us generate automated reminders and/or intimations to you. 24. Our Electronic Collection • We have a large collection of electronic resources – databases, journals and books. When you are within the campus, you can just click on the title to connect to any resource; • When you are away from campus, you can still access these resources.
